The biomedical industry can hardly be separated from an effective animal model platform. In order to effectively carry out the work of the Brain Science and Brain Disease Innovation Research Center of Hubei University and the "Hubei Gene Editing Dog Branch Center of the National Animal Model Technology Innovation Center",  Hubei University has established the Animal Center, which mainly focuses on domestic dog animal models and conducts research on brain science, brain diseases and gene editing. For this purpose, the center has built office buildings, breeding buildings and experimental buildings, with a occupied area of 109,000 square  dogs. It is expected that the center will become a domestic first-class research base for brain function and brain disease models and gene editing based on dog models.
